Look what I found at the local half price used books store. The Peter Rabbit Craft Book from the early 80's by Debbie Smith.
Mrs. Tiggy-Winkly Pincushion, Jemima Puddle-Duck Egg Cosy, Furry Mouse Mittens, Button Card Presents, Timmy Tiptoes Leaf Mug and Tile, Tailor of Gloucester Flower Tapestries, Paper mache Tea Tray, Mrs. Tittlemouse Moblile, Mrs. Rabbit's Lavender Bag, Sequined Fish T-shirt, Onion Stringing, Fluffy Autumn Scarf, Family Tree, and Cross stitch for pansy, rose, poppy, and corn flower.
It is such a dear book, but I must admit I miss the detail instructions of the Japanese Craft books. The patterns look hand drawn, no clear crisp lines that could easily be copied and put into immediate production. There are several pages of confusing instructions for each item. But it is Beatrix Potter need I say more. Well, other than I guess I am aging myself a bit.
On non crafting news: Have you seen the news about; $50 iBooks cause stampede! Take a look at that photo it looks like the lines in 3rd world countries with people trying to get food not lap tops.
Well I am off to Indianapolis tomorrow for a game convention. I still have to figure out what knitting I am packing. Definitely my secrete Sockapal-2-za sock, but probably something else. What to make, What to make? I kind of feel like I am hitting a slump. Lots of yarn, but not a pattern in site that matches the yarns I own. Just feeling really poopie about it. I guess it is something we all go through. Maybe I need to do some de stashing to feel better.
I also finally figured out what was causing my shoulder to hurt since Sunday, Taiko no Tatsujin Bataburu for PSP. It didn't dawn on me until I played again the other night. I guess I strained my neck concentrating to much on the screen. It is such a cool game. Playing a smiling Taiko drum to J-Pop music with cute little animals dancing away. Though laying in the bed crying because your shoulder hurts isn't worth it. So I guess no Taiko no Tatsujin Bataburu for me this weekend.
Too much gaming is bad for your health, you have proof.
