When did you first learn to knit socks? In January of 2005, I wanted to knit something for my husband. What’s the first sock you ever knit?January 2005, I made a pair of tube socks for M. I really wanted to knit something for M, but all he wanted was a pair of white cotton tube socks so I used a historical pattern from the 1800's. Favorite Sock Pattern? It would have to be Jaywalkers, this has become my generic sock pattern. Favorite needle method? Metal DPN's Favorite sock needles? Knit Picks US #1’s Who do you knit socks for? M, Mia, T, Olga, my mom, and myself How many pairs have you knitted to date? 26 and with 4 on the needles What is on your sock knitting to-do list? What kind of socks do you like to knit- Colorwork?Well, it is on my to do list... But right now it is probably a pipe dream since colour work scares me to death. Cabled? Yes, cables are one of my favorites Lace? Yes and no, sometime I think lace socks are kind of silly if they have to many holes. It seems to defeat the reason for wearing socks. Anklets? I have one pair, but I have never worn them Knee Socks? I knit a pair for Olga, but I doubt that I would knit them for myself. Solid colors? For lace and cables only Bright and crazy? Bright, yes. Crazy, yes. Wild, more the better. Faux Fair Isle (the yarn doing all of the work)? The pair of anklets that I haven't worn are done with the faux fair Isle. I have kind of mixed feelings about the yarn. I have a few other hanks in the stash. I like the concept behind it. How many sock yarn clubs are you currently signed up for? Um... Um... Um.. Only 2 Wollmeise (Yes I won the lottery) and Tour of DC Socks Tag a few sock knitters here: If you are reading, knit socks, and love sock yarn please consider yourself tagged! Or if your name is Mia the sock yarn enabler, you are tagged. |

You have no excuse to not try colorwork. I know for a fact that you have a colorwork sock kit in your stash. And as to trying new patterns, I also know you have several new ones that you keep saying you want to try but are afraid to try. If I can knit a top down sock, you can try a new pattern.
