kitty: Yeah, heavenly socks... Thank you Grumperina my socks fit!

The Specs:
Pattern: Jaywalker Socks by Grumperina
Yarn: I think it was No No Kitty from Kpixie and Lang Jawool In black since I majorly ran out of yarn.
Modifications: They are shorter than what the pattern called for since I was having yarn fears. Guess it was really justified this time since I didn't have enough for the second toe. I may rip out the first toe to knit in black so they match, but it is so heart breaking I ran out. The first toe looked so nice it is so hard to think about ripping it out.

I absolutely love these socks and for me the thing I absolutely love was the fact that they fit. They are snug and cuddly.
And to answer a dear friends question, yes I have been still cooking up a storm and trying new and unusual dishes. Maybe not with the same world cup fever, but there has still been food excitement. Here are photos from tonight's dinner. It was definitely world cup quality though.

    I came across your blog trying to find references for the Sand Dollar pullover, which I am interested in making. I am not a blogger, although I read them, and almost never leave a comment. But I just had to tell you how gorgeous your Stefani Japel tops look on you! What great designs. Enjoy wearing them. Isn't it a great feeling when you put something on that you've put time, effort and money into creating and you love it?!
    I like the color you chose for your Sand Dollar, too. Still not sure I'm going to make it. I wish I could see it modeled on someone other than the model in the book. It's kind of hard to tell the way she's posed what the fit is like. I'll have to follow your blog and see if you post one!

    Guess I didn't scroll down far enough. I see that you are frogging Sand Dollar. My concerns are exactly what you found to be problems - the front riding up and a shape too boxy to be flattering.

    I still love the design and the way it is constructed. Someday I wish to be able to redesign something to make it my own - in this case, longer, less low cut and more fitted.
