kitty: knit, knit, knit - must find more time to knit

It has been awhile since I posted an update of what is on the needles. The once monogamous knitter has broken her strict stance of having only one major project on the needles at a time. There are three projects lurking and a couple of spinning projects. It is kind of bothering me that there is so much on the needle right now. I also feel so unfaithful to each of the projects currently. Tokyo game show starts next week so the deadlines are pretty insane so that doesn't help the oppressive feeling.

item: Green "Knit" Sweater
content: White Item #: A-20 1/20 silk stainless steel
Green Item #: A-60 "shosenshi" paper
price: Let's not talk about it
time: It's going to be awhile

I have the first body panel completed and about 1/3 of the second one. This sweater is going to take awhile. I have found if I knit the paper and steel for any length of time it really hurts my left wrist and I have to stop knitting. I love the fabric and the sounds so it is definitely worth it. Just need to go slowly in the knitting process

item: Habu Inspired Bag
content: Maggie Ireland Linen in mustard
price: Picked up 7 balls for $7.00 on sale
time: so far on night

I really love all the big floppy Habu bags but I kind of wanted to design my own. Most of them seemed to big or didn't seem to have a long enough shoulder strap to comfortably wear across my body. I also wanted one that I could tie so I could shorten or lengthen if I so chose to do so.

item: White Cabled Asymmetrical Sweater Winter/2006 Vogue
content: Cashmere, Cotton, Wool
price: $164.00
time: 2 weeks back and one half of the front

M has been after me to knit him a sweater for a while. The restrictions as normal are that it has to be white and nothing else. You would think that white yarn would be easy to find, but the reality of the thing is finding stark white yarn is much harder than you think. And of course it had to be a little offbeat styling. A traditional raglan I don't think he would wear even if he were freezing. Men and there pickiness.

So that sums it all up. Now I am off to bed to take a nap since I am sick at the worst possible time. Not that being sick is ever good, but.....

  2. I, on the other hand, am looking forward to seeing the white sweater finished, mustard being not my favorite color. The paper sweater looks very interesting, too.
