kitty: germany wins the world cup of women's football & habu reward

I know this is going to sound really odd, but I am feeling like a real slacker. The World Cup for Women's Football just ended in Shanghai and I kind of fell like I didn't do my part this time around to cheer on the woman. I did my research and cooked corresponding dishes each day to the winning team, but my FO completion this past two weeks has been lack luster. (1 completed and 2 on the needles still)

Last year for the men, I finished three FO's and the one disastrous Sand Dollar Sweater. June and July were all about food and knitting on Knitbuddies all in honor of the World Cup of Football for the men. I guess even on Knitbuddies the lack of support for Women's Football is less than for the men's. So I am feeling like a slacker and a betrayer. I could give some good excuses for lack of performance, being really sick and TGS for a week, but still I am a slacker.... sigh

Sorry Girls!!!! Germany won yesterday if you hadn't seen the reports.

Habu Kit #113 - The patchwork skirt
From Setsuko Torii Hand-Knit Works
This is my reword to myself for loosing 30lbs. I still have a long way to go, but hopefully when I loose the next 30 I will be able to wear it and finished knitting and crocheting the skirt. :)

  4. congrats on the weight loss! I think that makes up for knit-slacking. Habu made into a Setsuko Torii design is a well-deserved reward!

  5. Thirty pounds is a lot of weight to lose, and you are doing great!

I watched the game as well, and it was pretty exciting. I just figured Brazil would win, but YAY GERMANY!!!
