Happy New Years.... |
There really isn't a lot to wrap up on the knitting or crafting front for of 2012. Life and work really took over all of my free time for knitting. All an all this past year has been a tough one and I am frankly glad to see it end. Sadly it isn't starting off well either. Hope the year to come will be a good one for all of you guys! Take care P.S. On another note I just realized this blog has been around since November 2004. Even I have a hard time believing it has been up that long. |

kitty: one week latter...

| It is hard to believe a week ago today I was caught up in the Royal Wedding frenzy. I was cooking up a storm, throwing a tea party, swooning over all the hats and fascinators and sitting on pins and needles waiting for the 2 kisses. Yes, if you didn't know it before now I am totally royal obsessed. One of my little collections is even Royal memorabilia plates and glasses. |

| So the 28th I spent most of the day cooking up a storm for a tea party to start around 4:00 am. 7 Savories and 8 Sweets. |

MG and I were on a hunt for socks to start over the holiday. So I started a little holiday knitting for Mia, she had requested a new pair of socks for Christmas. I searched through my sock yarn stash to look for a self stripping yarn and found very few that looked like her. So this was the closest in the stash. Not sure what the yarn is, the label has vanished. Concentric Sock Pattern is interesting. I like the concept of allowing stripes on a bias to wrap around the foot. Though the the fit seems a little odd. There are odd loose spots at times around the foot. Bottom line I really thought the pattern was fun and it is my first toe up sock. |
